Trenchless Sewer Repair in Riverside, CA

A way to fix or replace a broken sewer line without digging a trench across your yard. If your drains keep backing up, you smell sewer gas, or another plumber already said the main line is cracked, we look inside the pipe first, then repair it through small access points instead of open ground.

Trenchless sewer repair rebuilds a damaged sewer line from the inside using pipe lining or pipe bursting, so your yard, driveway, and hardscape stay intact. Sunrise Plumbing Riverside starts with a camera inspection of the line, shows you what is wrong, and then quotes the repair before any work begins.

What's Included

What Trenchless Sewer Repair Includes

Every job starts with a look inside the pipe, because the repair method depends on what the camera finds.

Sewer camera inspection through your cleanout to locate the break and how far down it sits
Cured in place pipe lining (CIPP) for pipes cracked or leaking but still holding their shape
Pipe bursting for lines that have collapsed, gone out of round, or need a larger diameter
Spot repair and sectional liner work when a single section has failed
Epoxy coating on the inside of the pipe to seal small leaks and slow corrosion
Root cutting and descaling before lining, so the liner sits against clean pipe wall
A second camera pass after the repair so you can see the finished line yourself

Simple stoppages need none of this. Slow lines usually clear with drain cleaning or hydro jetting, and a line failed in one spot under a slab may be a sewer line repair job instead. We tell you which one you are dealing with once the camera goes in.

Why It Wins

No Dig Sewer Repair Riverside Property Owners Prefer

Digging is the expensive part. Trenching a main line usually means cutting through lawn, mature landscaping, a concrete walkway, or a driveway, then paying again to put it all back.

Mature trees stay standing

Roots caused the damage on plenty of these lines, and you still get to keep the tree.

Restoration cost drops

There is far less hardscape and landscaping to rebuild afterward.

Smooth, jointless liner

The finished liner is smooth and jointless, which is why roots struggle to get back in.

Business keeps running

Commercial kitchens and offices can often keep running, since we are not blocking a parking lot or an entryway.

Method

Pipe Bursting for Lines That Have Collapsed

Lining works only when there is still a pipe to line. When a cast iron or clay line has crushed, flattened, or pulled apart at the joints, pipe bursting is the better answer. A bursting head is pulled through the old pipe on a cable. It breaks the failed line outward into the surrounding soil and drags a new polyethylene pipe in behind it, all in one pass.

Bursting also lets us go up a size. If your original line was undersized for the building, or a second unit was added years later, this is the moment to correct it.

Method

CIPP Pipe Lining and Epoxy Coating

CIPP lining is the method most homeowners end up choosing. A flexible liner soaked in resin goes into the host pipe, an inflatable bladder presses it tight against the pipe wall, and the resin cures into a new pipe inside the old one. Nothing gets removed and nothing gets hauled away.

Epoxy coating is the lighter version of the same idea. Where the pipe is sound but weeping at hairline cracks or pinholes, a coating seals the interior surface without the thickness of a full liner. Offset joints, root intrusion at the joints, and scale buildup all get addressed before either product goes in.

Coverage

Riverside Pipe Stock We Work On

Sewer failures here follow the age of the line. Wood Streets homes laid out back in 1913 still run original galvanized and clay lines, so root intrusion and joint separation are common there. Arlanza and other post war tracts near the 91 have lines at the end of their service life. Downtown buildings near the Mission Inn sit on older commercial mains. Newer areas such as Canyon Crest and Orangecrest see less sewer failure and more fixture, pressure, and water treatment work. Our service area covers 92501, 92503, 92504, 92505, 92506, 92507, and 92508.

FAQ

Trenchless Sewer Repair FAQ

How long does trenchless sewer repair take?

Timeline depends on the length of the run, the pipe material, and the method. We give you the expected timeline after the camera inspection and before any work begins, so you know what your day looks like ahead of time.

Will you dig up my yard at all?

Some digging is needed, but only at the access points, usually at the cleanout and at one end of the damaged section. Your lawn, landscaping, driveway, and hardscape between those points stay where they are.

How do you decide between lining and pipe bursting?

The camera decides it. A pipe that is cracked or leaking but still round and continuous can take a liner inside it. Collapsed, badly offset, or undersized lines call for bursting instead.

Does this work on cast iron and clay pipe?

Yes. Cast iron, clay, and ABS lines are the pipe stock we line and burst most often in Riverside. Older clay laterals with root intrusion at the joints show up regularly in the city's pre war neighborhoods.

Can I use my water and toilets while you work?

Water stays on. Drains on the affected line are out of service while the repair is underway, and we tell you when to stop using them and when you are clear.

Do you warranty trenchless sewer repair?

Yes. Our workmanship carries a 1 year warranty. If our work needs a return visit in that time, you pay nothing for the labor.
